hi there! thank you for stopping in

my name is shelby and I currently reside inside a semi transient life with a home base in fayetteville arkansas.

I stand on the shoulders of the beings who came before me who were and are bread makers, offering creators, vision holders and wisdom keepers. the blood that moves through my being comes from celtic, swedish, german and native north american Ioway peoples. my work with my plant teachers is a practice of remembering that we are not separate from our landscape and all who reside within it. this memory is a thread of resiliency I seek to weave throughout each plant and human i work alongside.

the herbal path i have chosen has begun first and foremost by deep listening to the plants below my feet. i practice plant medicine within clinical western herbalism that is rooted in folk tradition and spreads its hyphae in relationship and reciprocity with the living world we are apart of. my focus is on bioregional medicine; working with plants that grow abundantly wild or can be cultivated in the place in which I reside and am in direct relation with. I have found and humbly bow to my truth that relations mended with, by and through the living world is nourishment to not only the one but to the many.

I have learned from many on my path as an herbalist but my formal trainings include 7song’s clinical herbal apprenticeship from 2019 - 2020, Cal Searl’s apprenticeship 2019 - 2020, Liz Migliorelli’s Herbal Mystery School 20221, and Dave Meester’s, Janet Kent’s and Jen Stovall’s community Herbalism program at Terra Sylva 2021 - 2022 as well as Wild Current’s Clinical practictioners training.
